The Ice Maiden

    The Ice Maiden's Musings

These fanciful musings open this blog
about my continuing winter hobby about making ice sculptures....

.......for the cold winter of 2014  and 2015

Once upon a time there was a maiden who dwelt in the far north country where it was cold for six months of the year....at first she withdrew from the cold and then found a way to transform colored water into lovely ice sculptures using jello molds......these colorful pieces decorated her front lawn and yard. In the back yard, in her pine sanctuary was the Ice Laboratory where she poured water into the molds and let Mother Nature do the rest...freezing the colored water into forms that she brought inside and unmolded with hot water from the sink.

thus...the magical forms caught light and hung in the cold breezes.....melting ever so slightly in the warming March Sun.
